About Vadodara
Vadodara, the cultural capital of Gujarat, is a rich mixture of various traditions held together by the heritage of the former royal state of the Gaekwads. The city’s name is derived from the Sanskrit ‘Vadpadraka,’ which means city of banyan trees. It is situated on both sides of the Vishwamitri River, and in recent years has flourished as an industrial hub that is home to automobile manufacturing, engineering, chemical and other industries.
